Linda Trubey Obituary

Linda  June  Trubey

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Linda June (Miller) Trubey. Linda passed away on the morning of September 17, 2020, and was in the company of her daughters until the end. Linda was born on October 2nd, 1953 in Great Falls, Montana. Her life was lived with a deep love and compassion for everyone she met. To know her was to know unconditional love, warmth, and kindness. There aren’t enough words in the universe to express just how her love felt; her warmth was the embodiment of sunshine. Her passion in life was to reach those who were most in need of love and reassurance, particularly survivors of abuse and trauma. She was an advocate for mental health and healing, and never hesitated to provide encouragement and support to all who needed it. She shared her own stories, broke down barriers, and inspired many to find their own path to healing. Linda wrote and published a book to share her story and to encourage those struggling with depression and trauma to keep going. It is no surprise that for a good portion of her life, she worked in health care. Caring about people is just what she did. She became a safe place for many. She loved to read, to learn, and to teach. She attended many workshops and classes, always striving to learn. One of her favorite classes was a cooking class, inspiring her to become a chef, start her own catering company, teach cooking classes, and write and publish a raw food cookbook. She loved to hike and travel and was always ready for an adventure. You could often see her toting a good book and a cup of ice water on her adventures. Linda loved the ocean, and found magic in the Oregon Coast. She loved to take her grandchildren to dip their toes in the sea and explore the beach. You could often hear her humming softly or singing; it was the background to many road trips and time spent with her. Linda’s love and thoughtfulness for her children and grandchildren knew no bounds; she always put in the extra effort to remind you of how important and loved you were. She showed this by attending every event possible; every graduation, every sports game. Any time there was an opportunity for her to show her support, she was there. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She loved to make every occasion as special as she could and was always excited for a reason to put up decorations and celebrate. Linda is pre-deceased by her husband of 23 years, Al Dunlop. She believed in the Lord and the second coming, and looked forward to the time that she could be reunited with Al. Linda is survived by her brother Steve Miller; by her beloved children Anne Gillies, April Davis (Kendall), Cari Dunlop, and Brandee Dunlop; by her grandchildren: Aurora (James), Kevin, Connor (Jayne), Savannah, Zack, Alyssa, Haley, Kaylah, Brooklyn, and Bella, and great-grandchildren: Ophelia, Aubrey, Leon, and Alexus. Linda is predeceased by her sister Barbara. Linda will always be remembered for her strong, generous, and loving spirit. Her light has not been extinguished and will continue to shine on in those who knew her.  In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in her memory to the non-profit Anti-sexual assault National Network in her memory, you can call 800-656-4673 or go online to https://hotline.rainn.org
