Linda J. Russell

Linda J. Russell, age 67, passed away at her home in Onsted, MI, on November 26, 2022.  She was born on April 6, 1955 in Ypsilanti, MI to Robert & Dorotha (Cole) Russell.  On August 24, 2022, after more than 25 years together, Linda married Gary Taylor and is survived by him. She is also survived by daughter Jodi (Josh) Daves of Garden City, sister Mary (Jeff) Bush of Karlin, niece Bree (Don) Carscadden of Kentwood, niece Ella (Justin) Hammond of Traverse City, sisters in law Sally VanVleck of Traverse City and Jan Russell of Saline, Aunt Barbara (Frank) Mayfield of Ann Arbor, along with many cousins and numerous friends. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, brother Bob and brother Steven.  Linda spent her childhood in Saline and Leland where she forged many lifelong friendships. After graduating high school in 1974 she went to work at the University of Michigan. She held several administrative positions in her 30 year career there and was very proud of her work. This harbored and grew her love for wolverine football, she didn't miss a game.  Per her request, cremation will take place without a formal service. She asked that friends and family celebrate her life in the way she would have. Plans for that will be made at a later date.  Arrangements entrusted to J.
