Leonard Preston Snoep

Leonard Preston Snoep, age 55, passed away on January 13, 2025. He was born on December 1, 1969, in Lansing, Michigan, to Leonard and Agatha Snoep. Leonard (also know Lennie) had worked many years in Chicago as a Chef for a popular restaurant, he even mentioned Oprah Winfrey frequented as did many other famous people. He really loved living in Chicago, but decided to live closer to family, and returned to Lansing, Michigan in 2019.  At the end of 2021 he moved to Okemos, Michigan. Leonard was known for his love of food, his passion for culinary experiences, which not only brought joy to him, but also the pleasure of those who shared a meal with him. He was always very social and could easily start a conversation with anyone, as though they had been friends for years. Leonard also loved watching soccer and football especially the Detroit Lions! He will be greatly missed by friends and family, but know he is at peace and no longer in pain. As we remember Leonard let his passing be a reminder not to let moments pass you by.
