Laurie Sue Freed

Laurie Sue Freed, age 57, went to be with her Lord on Saturday June 10, 2023. She was born March 23, 1966 in Bay City, MI to parents Dr. Robert S. Nixon and Dorothy (Clarence) Weber. She lived all of her life in Lansing, MI, graduating from Sexton High School and received a degree in Early Childhood Development at LCC. She owned her own daycare for 13 years, worked as an aide at Burcham Hills, then was her mother's primary caregiver for several years. She was baptized and confirmed at Bethlehem Lutheran Church.  She loved her cats, amusement park rides, and spending time with friends.  Laurie is preceded in death by her parents, stepfather, grandparents, brother in law Bobby Stewart, niece Jennifer Rathgeber, nephew Benjamin Russell, and her special friend Paul Sherman.  Laurie is survived by her sisters, Sherri Stewart, Michelle (Scott) Richards, Julie (Tim) Russell and Lisa (Earl) Campbell, stepsisters Sally (Frank) Clements and Jane (Ed) Wiebers, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  There will be a private graveside service.   Arrangements with J.
