Laura Mary Winstanley Caseñas

In the early hours of Tuesday, July 11th 2023, Laura Mary Winstanley Caseñas, age 87, passed away peacefully at home. Laura is survived by her sister, Agnes; her brother, Alfred; her children, Bernie Casenas-Bearup (Charlie), Anna Hourdakis (Manuel), Manny Casenas, and Connie; her seven grandchildren: Drew, Alec, Melissa, Maggie, Adam, Mark, and Dylan; and a large, extended family of cousins, nieces, and nephews. Her seven siblings, Lucy, Isabel, Benedict, Teresita, Richard, Martha, and Edward; and her daughter, Jacque, preceded her in death. The eighth of nine siblings, Laura was born in the Philippines on February 14th, 1936 to Catalina and Leonard Winstanley. She lived in the Philippines until the age of twenty-nine, when she emigrated to the United States with her then-four children. Her fifth child was born one year later. Laura’s Funeral Mass will be held on 10:00 AM Saturday, August 19, 2023 at the Christ Our Light Parish, 3077 Glouchester Dr, Troy, MI 48084.  Flowers can be sent to 3077 Glouchester Drive, Troy, MI 48084.  Laura’s family requests that any memorial contributions be made to the Catholic Church through Christ Our Light in honor of her faith, or to the Huron Valley Humane Society, as she adopted many beloved pets from the HVHS.  www.PurseFuneralHome.com
