Lana Sue (Root) Jula

Lana Sue Jula, age 67, of Britton, passed away May 24, 2021, peacefully surrounded by her family.  Lana was born August 29, 1953 in Rapid City, S. Dakota the daughter of John and Betty (Marshall) Root.  On September 21, 1976 she married John Jula in Chicipee, Massachusetts  He preceded her in death November of 2014.  Lana was a resident of Lenawee County since 1992 coming from West Bora, Massachusetts. She enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, cooking and spending time with her family. Lana was a member of the Britton Bethel Baptist Church, Britton, MI. She leaves a legacy of faith and trust in Jesus.  Spending time in prayer was an important part of her daily routine.  She will be greatly missed by her family. Lana is survived by her children, Todd (Haley) Jula and Heather Jula; grandchildren, Autumn and Jake Jula; sister, Debra Hocker and brother, Steven Root. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Donna. Funeral services will be  2:00 P. M   Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh with Pastor Phil Devaney officiating.  Burial will follow in Ridgeway Cemetery, Ridgeway, MI.  Visitation will be 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., one hour preceding the service. Memorials may be made to Britton Bethel Church, Britton, MI
