Lakie Virginia (Pelphrey) Willnow

Lakie Virginia Willnow age 93 of Clinton, MI passed away peacefully on January 11, 2022. Lakie was born December 29, 1928 in Staffordsville, Kentucky the daughter of Bert and Lucille (Foster) Pelphrey. Lakie graduated from Oil Springs High School. She was a member of the Eastern Star in Salyersville, KY. Lakie is survived by her siblings, Thomas Pelphrey of Clinton, Michigan, Lennie (Richard) Ferguson of Plymouth, Michigan, Phyllis Wilcox and Ruby McKenzie both of Ypsilanti, MI, Barbara Conley of Berlin Heights, Ohio, Allen (Mable) Pelphrey of Brooklyn, Michigan and Brenda Pelphrey of Erie, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E Willnow; son, Melvin H. Fyffe; parents, Bert and Lucille Pelphrey; siblings, Marvin E. Pelphrey, Fannie M Burke and Joyce A. Wilcox. A memorial service will take place to honor Lakie at 11:00 a.m. on April 30, 2022 at Stony Creek Freewill Baptist Church, 8735 Stony Creek Road, Ypsilanti, MI 48197 with Pastor Wayne Jacobs officiating.
