Kristina Jean Gilgallon

Kristina Jean Gilgallon, age 55, of Tecumseh, MI, passed away May 4, 2026, at home with family by her side. She was born December 6, 1970, in Tecumseh, MI, the daughter of David Williams and Barbara Harris Casteele.  On November 11, 1995, she married Michael Gilgallon at St. Joseph Shrine Church in the Irish Hills. He survives.  In addition to her husband Michael, she is survived by her children, Savana Gilgallon and Justin (Samantha) Gilgallon; her father, David (Lolly) Williams; her brothers, David (Penny) Williams and Chester "Scott" Casteele; and multiple nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Harris Casteele.  Kristina was a graduate of Clinton High School, Class of 1989. She took an interest in law and spent her career working as a legal secretary/paralegal in Ann Arbor. She had many talents and interests. She was an avid sports fan who cheered for the Detroit Lions, Pistons, and Tigers. She was a UofM fan, GO BLUE! She also enjoyed spending time with friends and family at the bowling alley. She was a proud mother to her two kids and brought humor, creativity, and love to their lives. She loved to dance and sing along to Stevie Nicks. She had a special connection to words, and could often be found curled up with a good Richard Paul Evans book.  She was a loving cat mom to her cats, Emma and Ellie, and loved to spoil her grandpups and grandcats. Kristina had a great admiration for nature and animals. Her mornings were spent watching her birds from the kitchen window, coffee in hand, warding off as many squirrels as she could. In the evenings she enjoyed taking long drives down country roads searching for deer and eagles with her husband whom she loved for over 30 years. She loved taking road trips to see covered bridges, watching the sunset over lakes, and stargazing by bonfires.  Kristina was a fierce woman who was never afraid to speak her mind or stand up for her beliefs. Everything she did, she did with confidence and a sureness of herself. She wasn’t afraid to be loud, or to be silly. She was inherently herself in all things, even in the face of hardship. Her love for her family and friends was felt every day, and we will miss her.  Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI, with Jeni Lagore officiating.  Visitation will also be on Saturday from 1:00 PM until the time of service at the Purse Funeral Home in Adrian, MI.  Following services there will be a gathering at the Village Venue (formerly known as St. Dominic's Hall), 166 West Michigan Ave. Clinton, MI.  All are welcome to join. www.PurseFuneralHome.com
