Karen Sue Carter

Karen Sue Carter, age 74, of Adrian, MI, passed away, June 17, 2023, at Hospice of Lenawee Hospice Home surrounded by her family. She was born February 5, 1949, in Adrian, MI, the daughter of Levie & Florence (Murphy) Carter.  Karen is survived by her two daughters, Samantha (Brett) Tipton and Tammy (Shawn) Covell; six grandchildren, Thomas, Brandon, Isabella, Jacob, Saleana and Trinity; three great grandchildren, Raelynn, Ava and Oaklynn; three sisters, Sharon (Tim) Hollstein, Betty Webb and Cathy (Ed) Laperriere; and lots of nieces & nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Levie & Florence Carter; and son, Forrest Lewis.  Memorial Services will be held 5:00 PM Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI, with Pastor Daniel Schultz officiating.  A dinner will follow at the funeral home.
