Judy Rachwal Obituary

Judy (Ploeger) Rachwal passed away March 11, 2021. She was born February 4, 1949 to Jack and Jo Ann Ploeger. She is survived by her husband Ted Rachwal, her sister Jeanne (Larry) Chamberlain of Schoolcraft, MI, her brother Jack Ploeger of Port Huron, MI and her mother Jo Ann Ploeger also of Port Huron, MI. She was preceded in death by her sister Janice Shively and her father Jack Ploeger Sr. Judy graduated from Michigan State University with a BA and from Eastern Michigan University with an MA. She taught in Adrian Public School for 27 years and one year as the exchange teacher at Moriyama Girls School in Shiga, Japan. She enjoyed her monthly book club and sewing with the ladies at Adrian First United Methodist Church. Her passions included long distance bicycling, cross country skiing, quilting, reading, traveling, her dogs, politics and current events, personal fitness and especially being with her family and friends.
