Joyce Irene (Savage) Wiggins

Joyce Irene (Savage) Wiggins, 73, of Morenci, Michigan went to be with the Lord on April 21, 2021 in her home in Morenci in the care of Brandyi and Gary Shumate. She was born February, 11,1948, the daughter of the late George and Lois (Randell) Savage. Joyce married the love of her life of 51 years, Lyle Jay Wiggins, on July 9,1966 in Lansing Michigan, and he preceeded her in death on June 17, 2018. Joyce was a loving wife and mom. She spent most of her life being a homemaker until her children made it through their school years. She worked at the Mason A & W as a prep cook. Joyce was born in Michigan and eventually made the move to Kentucky for several years. Mom and dad moved back to Michigan and spent the rest of their lives together until her loving husband passed in 2018. Joyce was in the care of Brandyi and Gary Shumate for the last 3 years of her life. Joyce wanted for nothing.  When she would say "I would like this or that ",  Brandyi and Gary would make sure that she got it. She was going out and having fun. Last summer Joyce was able to be at the lake soaking her feet in a lake one last time. She is survived by her children; Bonni (Wiggins) Sweezy of Kentucky, David Wiggins of Lansing, Melissa (Missy (Wiggins) Shumate of Lansing, and Douglas and (Theresa Reynolds) Wiggins of Tennessee; siblings, Dennis and Brenda (Savage) Hart, Denise (Savage) Harkness, and Jackie (Savage) King; 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, along with several bonus grandchildren/great and great great grandchildren. Joyce was preceded in death by; her parents; inlaws, Lyle and Mettie (White) Wiggins of Lansing; brother Jon Savage of Lansing,  sister Robbins (Savage) Watters of Onondaga, brother in-laws Argus (Arkie) Watters of Onondaga and Robert (Bob) King of Charlotte, and son-in-law Crawford Shumate of Clayton. A dinner will be held for Joyce on Saturday May 1, 2021 at 1 :00 PM at the Wakefield Park 555 W. Main Street, Morenci Michigan 49256
