Joseph Michael Cabla

Joseph Michael Cabla, age 64, of Adrian. passed away June 18, 2021. Joe was born April 13, 1957 in Toledo, Ohio the son of Joseph John and Shirley Ann (Gladieux) Cabla. He was a  graduate of Britton Macon High School and Siena Heights University where he received a Bachelors of Business Administration.  He was employed by  General Motors (Fisher Body) in Tecumseh and  for 20 years at  Tecumseh Products.  He was a member of the American Motorcycle Association and a member of the Catholic Church. Joe had an incredible lust for life and adventure -  camping and traveling  extensively across the country on his motorcycle. His many talents were singing, cooking, playing the guitar and gardening (a real green thumb). With his outgoing personality and great sense of humor he made many friends.  His biggest love in life was his family and he  had the most incredible pride and devotion to his children and grandchildren.  He especially enjoyed attending their events and watching them shine. Joe is survived by his children, Karena (Elden "Ted") Cattell and Joey (Rebecca) Cabla;  parents, Joe and Shirley Cabla;  grandchildren, Assumpter, Judea, Ambrose and Perpetua Cattell and Taryn, Levi and Ellie Cabla; sister, Joyce (J.D.) Lancaster; dearest friend and companion, Joyce Wilhelm;  the mother of his children, Tanya VanWagner; two stepchildren, Kelby and Collette Wallace and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, David Cabla. A Mass of the Christian burial will be 12:00 P.M. (noon) Wednesday,  June 23, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Tecumseh with Fr. Daniel Wheeler as celebrant.   Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at the J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home Tecumseh and one hour prior to the mass at the church.  A scripture service will be at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.    Interment will be in Brookside Cemetery, Tecumseh.
