Johnathan Roger Birchfield, Jr.

Johnathan Roger Birchfield, Jr., age 70, of Tecumseh, MI, passed away, October 31, 2022, at home. He was born May 7, 1952, in Adrian, MI, the son of Johnathan & Sondra (Greenwald) Birchfield. On August 22, 1970 he married Judy Morse in Tecumseh, MI, she survives.  John retired as a supervisor from Ford Motor Co., Milan Plant. He loved building hot rods and racing and was a dedicated member of the SAL Post 34 in Tecumseh. John was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather and friend to many.  In addition to his wife Judy Birchfield, he is survived by his children, Tammy (Darin) Champanois, Janet (Ron) Crist, and John "Bud" (Amber) Birchfield; his grandchildren, Alexis (Jared) Stevens, Katie Crist, Mischa Champanois and Aidan Champanois; great grandchildren, Rowan Stevens and August Stevens; his siblings, Connie (Keith) Dersham, Ron (Sherrie) Birchfield and Bonnie (Randy) Ferguson; special aunt & uncle, Roger & Judy Birchfield; special aunt, Anne Birchfield; and numerous nieces & nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents.  Memorial Services will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI. Visitation will also be on Wednesday from 1:00 PM until the time of service at J.
