John Leo Klama

John Leo Klama, resident of Manchester, MI, born April 26, 1950, passed peacefully at home surrounded by family on October 2, 2021.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph C. and Balbina Klama; brother Cass Klama; and daughter, Tracy Pennie.  He is survived by his loving wife Cheryl Klama; Children: Belinda (Todd) Lingle Louisville KY, Michelle (Don) Robbins Glasgow KY, Johnny (Jodi) Klama Adrian MI and Stacey O’Hara Lake Mary FL, Grandchildren: Dayton (Brianna) Klama, Ethan Klama, Levi Klama, and Rhys Robbins; Great Grandchild: Johnathan Klama.  He is also survived by his brothers and sisters: Beatrice Osantowski Bad Axe MI, Pete (Marilyn) Klama Columbus MI, Louise Pionk Ubly MI, Irene (Charlie) Holdwick Ferndale MI, Sabina (Robert) Wrobel Lake MI and Sophie Davis Deckerville MI.  John was born in Bad Axe MI and grew up Ubly, MI.  After graduation, he worked in production for GM and retired after 30 years.  He enjoyed spending time with friends and won several dart throwing and pool tournaments.  He loved being outdoors, especially keeping his yard immaculate.  He also enjoyed woodworking and working on motor vehicles with his son Johnny in his pole barn.   John also loved spending time with family and all his furbabies, recently his cat Bobbie.  John was a wonderful husband, father, brother, uncle and friend to many.  He will be greatly missed.  A Celebration of Life will take place at 4:00 PM Saturday, October 16, 2021, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI, with Chaplain Kyle Herrick officiating.  Visitation will also be on Saturday, from 2:00 PM until the time of service at J.
