John Kevin DeBono, 67, of Willis, Michigan, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2026, in Ypsilanti, Michigan. John, known to many as Kevin, was born on November 10, 1958, in Westland, Michigan, to John DeBono and Noreen Brown. He graduated from John Glenn High School in 1976 and went on to dedicate 30 years of hard work to General Motors. Kevin found joy in life’s simple pleasures—fishing, bowling, and, most importantly, spending time with his beloved family. He cherished every moment with his grandchildren and took great pride in being a grandfather. He also had a special place in his heart for his dogs, Ryder and Dharma. He is lovingly remembered by his son, Jonathan (Jessie) DeBono; his grandchildren, Katelynn, Emily, Aaliyah, Aubree, Kaylee, and Paige; his great-grandchildren, Landon and Zyaire, with another great-granddaughter on the way; his brother, Brian (Marti) DeBono; and his sister, Kimberly (Randy) Lulow. He was preceded in death by his father, John DeBono; his mother, Noreen Brown; the mother of his children, Amy DeBono; his daughter, Dayna DeBono; and his brother, Brett DeBono. A private memorial service for immediate family will be held at Willis Baptist Church on April 11, 2026, with Pastor McKinnies officiating. A visitation and luncheon to celebrate Kevin’s life will follow at One Under, 35780 Five Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, beginning at 1:30 PM on April 11, 2026. We find comfort in knowing Kevin is now at peace, reunited with loved ones, and resting in the arms of the Lord. Arrangements with Purse Funeral Home. www.PurseFuneralHome.com
