Joann Baker

Joann Owen Baker, age 64 of Adrian MI was born on July 12,1957, in Nashville, TN and passed on April 25, 2022.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe Owen and Maxine Smithson, brother, Dale Owen;  sisters, Betty Jean Owen and Mary Owen.  She is survived by her partner of 25 years Joe Tarver of Adrian MI; daughter, Tammy (Eddie) Varney of Holliday, TN; sons, Samuel Perry of Holliday, TN,  Charlie Horton, and Adam Tetlow both of Palm Springs, CA; brother, Donnie (Lisa) Owen of Paris, TN ; grandchildren, Chelsea (Tyler) White, Lillian (Caleb) Elmore, Jordan Gilbert and Sammy Perry; great grandchildren, Nash Elmore and Charlie Elmore.  Ms. Joann worked The Family Kitchen Restaurant  in Adrian as a waitress for 10 plus years.  She loved her customers  and her friends very much.   Some of her favorite pastimes were  her computer games and viewing Crazy Craig’s Show on Facebook. She loved her family and friends more than anything.  Memorial Services will be held 12:00 PM Friday, May 6, 2022, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI.  Joann will be laid to rest  in College Grove, TN at later date.  www.PurseFuneralHome.com
