JoAnn (Cook) Wusthoff

JoAnn (Cook) Wusthoff, age 78, of Clarklake, MI, passed away, March 18, 2025.  She was born in Detroit, Alabama, October 23, 1946.  At 5 years of age she and her family moved from Alabama to Tecumseh, MI. JoAnn was the youngest of 8. She attended Tecumseh schools then transfered to Madison high school in Adrian where she graduated class of 1965. Her first job was as a car hop at Bummies drive-in restaurant. Following school she married her high school sweetheart and started her own family. JoAnn enjoyed, family get togethers and holiday festivities. She liked 5th wheel camping and seeked the thrill of roller coasters and amusement park rides. In her free time she liked fixing up her home and boating on the lake with her husband. She was known for baking fun birthday cakes and crocheting afghans for her loved ones. JoAnn liked to have fun, travel and was family oriented. She retired from Ford Motor Co.after 20 + years of service. In recent years, her health deteriorated and she lived out her final days in Clarklake, MI often watching nature out her patio window. JoAnn will be sorely missed by her 3 girls and will be remembered as the "best mom in the world," Her light will shine eternally!.   "Mom, you will be forever cherished, loved, and remembered. JoAnn is survived by her husband, of 35 years, Joseph Michael Wusthoff, of Clarklake, MI. Her 3 daughters, Pamela Jo Kirby of Clarklake, MI. Paula Michelle Kirby of Holland, MI and Shanna Roxann Messer of Clarklake, MI, 1 grandson, Sean Tyler Phillips of Clarklake, MI.  And Sister, Edith Marcel (Cook) Baldwin, and brother-in-law, Harold Baldwin of Adrian, MI. Many cousins, nieces and nephews.  Graveside Services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, March 21, 2025, at Lenawee Hills Memorial Park, Adrian, MI.  Burial will follow.  Arrangements entrusted to Purse Funeral Home, Adrian, MI.  www.PurseFuneralHome.com
