Janice "Jan" Annette Brinsden

Janice “Jan” Annette Brinsden, age 71, of Clinton, MI,  passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 6, 2023.  Janice was born in Detroit, Michigan on August 15, 1952. She was the fifth of ten children of Peter and Julia Mays.  Janice attended Southeastern High School of Detroit, MI where she participated in sports, she dominated in Softball and Swimming.  On June 10, 1978 she married Harry Brinsden in St. Paul, Minnesota, from their union four children were born.  Janice was the unit secretary at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan.  In her spare time, Jan enjoyed shopping and baking but most of all she loved spending time  with her grandchildren.  Janice was preceded in death by: her beloved husband Harry, her parents and brother, Raymond.  Janice is survived by her children: Matthew (Michelle), Brian, Stephanie (Robert) DelGhingaro and Cynthia(Jermaine) Duplessis; grandchildren Jayden, Julianna, Jayme, Isaac, Ava,Gabriella, Genevieve and Khaia; brothers and sisters Joyce, Peter, Iris, George, David, Judy, Russell, Karen.  Funeral Mass will be held 12:00 PM Thursday, September 14, 2023, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 506 N. Union Street, Tecumseh, MI, with Fr. Daniel Wheeler presiding. Rite of Committal will follow in Brookside Cemetery.  Janice will lie in state at St. Elizabeth also on Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral mass.  Arrangements are under the direction of J.
