James "Jimmy" Daren Van Etten

James "Jimmy" Daren Van Etten, age 62, of Dearborn Heights, Michigan, passed away on April 2, 2025 at home in Adrian, MI.  Jimmy was born in Highland Park to Thomas and Geraldean Van Etten on December 6, 1962. He went to high school at Annapolis High School in Dearborn Heights Michigan and graduated in 1980 He went on to proudly serve in the United States Army, with honorable discharge.  He worked as a pipefitter and welder   He was passionate about riding his motorcycle, caring for his acre and a half of  heaven, and building hand crafted industrial desk as well as his RC cars.   Jim is survived by his spouse Paula (Strother) Van Etten of Adrian; brother, Kirk Van Etten; sisters, Kimberly (Van Etten) Nickert and Kelly (Van Etten) Ribar; and a myriad of nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Geraldean Van Etten; brother, Thomas Edward and sister Cindy (Van Etten) Gross.  A Memorial Service will be held at a later date, per his wishes there will be no viewing.   Arrangements with Purse Funeral Home, Adrian, MI.  www.PurseFuneralHome.com
