James H. Hephner, 75, of Hudson, went home to be with the Lord on Sept. 29, 2021, after a brief illness. He was born Nov. 15, 1945, the son of Howard J. and Frances (Halsey) Hephner. He married Cheryl Hagemyer on July 27, 1968 and she survives. Jim was a retired engineer from Tecumseh Products. He was a member of Manitou Baptist Church where he sang in the choir and was active wherever needed as long as his health allowed. At home he enjoyed his family and loved to read his newspaper and books. Surviving Jim, besides his wife, Cheryl, are two daughters, Amanda (Tim) Germain of IL, and Tonie Hephner of Hudson, 12 grandchildren; one brother, Tom (Judy) Hephner of Churubusco, IN and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Martha Kay Williams, three grandchildren, and one nephew, Adam Hagemyer, three brothers, John, Marvin F. and Howard Richard in infancy. A celebration of life will be held at his home at 219 Grove St., Hudson on Oct. 9 from 1-4. Those wishing to make a memorial contribution may make it to the family to help with expenses.
