Jack Watson Barrett, age 93, of Britton, passed away February 16, 2020 at home. He was born November 1, 1926, in Macon Township, the son of Floyd and Elizabeth (Watson) Barrett. On June 19, 1948, he married Wilma Jean Daykin and she preceded him in death on April 11, 2011. Jack was a graduate of Britton High School, Class of 1944. He was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Tecumseh, Tecumseh Grange #166, 5th degree team for State Grange and leader of Britton-Macon 4-H Club. He was retired from Tecumseh Products Company, with over 25 years of service. Jack was a lifelong farmer in the Britton area. Jack is survived by his daughter, Karen (John) DeCoster of Britton; daughter in law, Kendra Barrett of Deerfield; grandchildren, John Patrick DeCoster, Kimberly (David) Maddox, Kevin (Dawn) Barrett II, Kristin (Scott) Grodi and Kendall (Angel) Barrett; great grandchildren, Kayleigh, Allie, Andrea, Cole, Clint, Alexander, Ashlyn, Steven, Dempsey, Natalie, Virginia, Mason, Kendall, Jr., Cheyenne, Mackenzie and Camden.In addition to his wife Wilma, he was preceded in death by his parents, and son, Kevin, Sr. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 21, 2020 at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh with Rev. Alan Maki officiating. Interment will follow at Brookside Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 20, 2020 at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh, and one hour prior to services on Friday.
