Ilias Anastasiadis, age 71, of Jackson, MI, passed away, May 27, 2021, at Henry Ford Allegiance Hospital. He was born March 28, 1950, in Drama, Greece, the son of Michael & Melpomeny (Kalsides) Anastasiadis. Ilias served in the Greek Army and then came to the United States in 1981. He was fiercely proud of being a Greek and becoming a United States Citizen. Ilias was an awesome poker player and loved spending time at The Poker Room playing the game and dealing cards. Ilias worked as a welder & fabricator at several places in Jackson, MI. He was a member of of St. Demetrius Orthodox Church in Jackson, MI. Ilias is survived by his wife, Lourdes Anastasiadis; his children, Yianny Anastasiadis, Melina Anastasiadis, Kosta Anastasiadis and Pannayioti Papadopoulos; four grandchildren, Isaak, Emmanuel, Luciana and Maria; his siblings, Elepheria, Pavlos, Niki and Souli; several nieces and nephews which include Sonia Lantis & Frances Adams and many great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Androniki "Niki". Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at St. Demetrius Orthodox Church, 3043 Seymour Rd, Jackson, MI with Fr. Dusan Koprivica presiding. Rite of Committal will follow at Roseland Memorial Gardens, Jackson, MI. Ilias will also lie in state at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of services at St. Demetrius Orthodox Church. Arrangements under the direction J.
