Harvey Herman Bolyard

Harvey Herman Bolyard, age 82, of Onsted, passed away at Lenawee Medical in Adrian on Friday, June 11, 2021.  Harvey was born August 14, 1938 in Adrian Michigan to Harold and Florence (Alexander) Bolyard.  Harvey graduated from Adrian High School in 1956 where he played baseball and trumpet in the band.   He married Annette Ruttkofsky on May 14, 1960.  Together, they had three children:  Harvey, Christine, and Danny.  Harvey enjoyed the outdoors very much.  He enjoyed swimming, fishing, golf, playing softball, and bowling.  Many times you could hear Harvey passing on his knowledge of sports to his children and their friends.  He even spent a short time coaching.  At one time Harvey owned and operated a bowling alley in Howard City Michigan.  Harvey also enjoyed good old Gospel music.  Gaither Homecoming was his favorite.  He also liked going up north driving around the lakes and going to the casinos with Annette.  It was one of their favorite hobbies they enjoyed doing together.  Harvey is survived by his wife, Annette; three children: Harvey (Patty) Bolyard, Christine Hamilton, and Danny (Sherry) Bolyard: four grandchildren: Benjamin, Brian, James, and Ashley; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Harvey is preceded in death by five sisters: Loretta Warner, Letha Davenport, Ida Mae Bancroft, Lois Tuckerman, and Lillian McClain; and two brothers: Harold Clyde in infancy and Robert.
