Harry Vincent Maleski Jr.

Harry Vincent Maleski Jr., Originally from Willis, Michigan, died Tuesday May 17, 2022 from chronic myeloid leukemia at Michigan Medicine Hospital, Ann Arbor, Michigan.  He was diagnosed in 2011, and along with two traumatic brain injuries lived to be 70 years-old. He graduated from Lincoln Consolidated School System in 1969, and  received the American Legion Citizenship Award all four years. He was the varsity baseball, freshman J.V. baseball, and basketball manager. He spent the majority of his life working as a security guard, Washtenaw County Sheriff's Department Auxiliary Officer, and an Augusta Township Volunteer Firefighter. He was a lifetime member of the NRA, Washtenaw County Sportsman's Club, and Adrian Antique Tractor and Engine Club. He spent many summers at Camp Perry, Ohio Competitive Shooting Events with his dedicated friend, Mark Compton. He loved "Going to The Club" to meet Mark, and his many friends to spend time on the pistol range. He loved his many cats and dogs, tractors, hunting, and reloading hobbies. He was a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Maybee, Michigan. He is survived by his sister, Deanna and husband Scott Remily. His parents, Harry Sr. and Doris L (Elka) and newborn younger brother, Bryan Lee, preceded him in departure. We thank Robert Rothenberger of Whispering Pines Adult Foster Care Home and Lynwood Manor Nursing Home for their care.
