Gloria Jean (Shumate) Linton

Gloria Jean (Shumate) Linton "Devil Woman", age 65, of Hudson, MI, formerly of Prattville, passed away December 10, 2024, at Adrian bay Nursing Home.  She was born December 23, 1959, in Adrian, MI, the daughter of George William Shumate and Donna Jean (Gilbert) Shumate.  Gloria attended Adrian Schools and was a stay at home wife and mom.  She enjoyed singing, listening to country music and her hobby was talking on her C.B.  and known as "devil women" by lots of friends and family including her husband"moonshiner".  Gloria loved to spoil all her nieces and nephews including her great grandkids.  She was always willing to help others  Gloria was the proud wife of Marlon "Big Buck" Linton Sr.  She is survived by 2 brothers, Robert "Bob" Shumate and Gary Shumate;  one son, Marlon "Little Buck" Linton"; 4 step children,  Marlon "Leroy" Linton Jr., Brian Linton, Patricia Linton and Dee Linton.  Gloria is also survived by multiple nieces and nephews, many grandchildren and great grandchildren.   Gloria was proud of her family and loved them dearly.  She was preceded ind death in by her parents, George William Shumate and Donna Jean(Gilbert) Shumate, her husband, Marlon "Big Buck" Sr.; 2 sisters, Rita (Shumate) Cousino and Katie "Big Kate" (Shumate) Watson;  2 brothers, Crawford "Bird" Shumate and William "Billy Wayne" Shumate; 2 nieces, Katie "Little Kate" Vandever and Casie Lee Skursky; one granddaughter "Jazz" and one great grandchild, London.  Memorial Services will be held for family and friends at later date and all will be notified when the Memorial Service will be held so everyone can celebrate her life here and talk about all our memories with Gloria.  Donations can be made at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral in Adrian, MI, to help with the cost.  Gloria will be missed dearly by her niece Donna Maria Shumate and by all her family and friends.
