Gladys "Lavaughn" Warner, age 86, of Adrian, MI, passed away, January 27, 2026, at home surrounded by her family in the comfort of the home they built, under the care of Hospice of Lenawee, after a lengthy illness with Parkinson's. She was born December 12, 1939, in Elizabethton City, TN, the daughter of Jefferson & Iris (Davis) Grindstaff. On May 7, 1959, she married Jack Warner in Adrian, MI, they celebrated 66 years together. Her family moved to the area in 1955, she was an immaculate homemaker & gardener. Her most cherished memories were with family and friends, traveling, camping, playing cards, going shopping, rummage sales, casino trips, baking and cheering on her beloved Detroit Tigers. In addition to her husband Jack, she is survived by two sons, Greg (Cristina) Warner and Brian (Julie) Warner; five grandchildren, Austin Warner (Magen Greenlaw), Andrea (Ethan) LaPlante, Aaron Warner, A.J. Warner and Carson Warner; three great grandchildren, Faye, E.J. and Raelynn; one sister, Bernice Peterson; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Helen Tanner, Sharon Seville and Edna Crest. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, January 30, 2026, at Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI, with Pastor Greg Burdine officiating. Burial will follow in Lenawee Hills Memorial Gardens, Tecumseh, MI. Viewing & Visitation will also be on Friday from 11:00 AM until the time of service at the Purse Funeral Home in Adrian, MI.
