Gilbert was home to be with Jesus on Oct 24th 2018, after a brave battle with cancer.  Gilbert was born April 24, 1937 in Coamo Puerto Rico to Felicito (Rivera) and Secafin Flores.  On September 16th 1957, he married Lavina Ann Simpson.  Together they had 6 sons.  Gilberto Jr. (Ricky) Flores & Teresa DaVeney of North Judson, Indiana.  Randell Flores of Oklahoma, Ronald Flores and Joseph Mincovsky of Adrian,  Gregory (Cindy) Flores of Addison,  Charles Flores& Dori  Sharp of Adrian,  Anthony Flores of Ann Arbor.  After19 years of marriage, they divorced.  On December23rd he married Sharon McDonald, and he raised her four Children, Jody (Allen) Johnson of Palmyra, Kenneth  (Rose) Johnson of Adrian, Keith Olinger of Alabama, & Kaitlyn McDonald of Adrian.  Sharon proceeded him in death on May 27th, 2002.  Gilbert is survived by one brother. Zacharia (Charlie) Flores of Coamo, Puerto Rico.  Three sisters, Nerada Ruiz, Nida Colon, & Resty (Ricky) of Orlando, Fla.  And many Grand & Great Grandchildren.  Gilbert worked for American Chain & Cable.  He loved playing Guitar, raising birds, & selling tires.  Besides parents & his wife, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Tony Flores, Visitacion (Tony) Flores, & Modesto Flores, sisters Ellia, Juanita & Luz  and  grandson, Matthew Flores.  At Gilbert’s request, he has been cremated and there will be no funeral.  Condolences can be made to the family online at: www.PurseFuneralHome.com
