Gary W. Jackson

Gary W. Jackson, age 77, of Morenci, Michigan, passed away at his home on Saturday March 8, 2025.  He was born on April 24th, 1948 to his parents Gerald C. and Phyliss (June) Jackson, he was one of seven siblings.  Gary proudly served in the Marine Corps of the United States. Gary loved to be outdoors and had joy in raising chickens.  He also enjoyed his drives with his dogs Spike and Jilly.  Casually stopping and visiting loved ones to have a chat. He worked at Hardwoods of Michigan where he was an electrician, and retired from there.  Gary married Joyce on June 1, 1990.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by his three children; Gary (Tracy) Jackson of Jackson, Gail (Rod) Woodard of Hudson and Gerald (Molly) Jackson of Blissfield, two step-children; Tracy (Michele) Kast of Evansville, Indiana and Pat (Alyssa) Kast of Hudson. Grandchildren Andrew, Bailey and Nathan Jackson; Jessica (Justin) Kamann and Stephanie (Warren) Osmun, Thomas, Alaina, Tyrick, Ashlind, Mathew and Timothy Kast and great-grandchildren Justin ‘JJ’ Kamann; Mason and Corbin Osmun; Morgan and Khloe Kast; Two brothers John (Rosalee) Jackson of Medina, Michigan, Allen (Janet) Warren of Mareitta, Georgia; and one sister Patty Gibson of Flowery Branch, Georgia. As well as many nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Gary was proceeded in death by two brothers Mike Fox and Jerry Fox; a sister, Rose Rhoades and one step-son Ryan Kast and Grandson Daniel (DJ) Valdez In accordance to Gary’s wishes, cremation has taken place and services are not being held.  Family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date and time.  Arrangements entrusrted to Purse Funeral Home, Adrian, MI.  www.PurseFuneralHome.com
