Galen H. Brockway

Galen H. Brockway, age 77, of Adrian, MI, passed away, May 4, 2025.  He was was born April 22, 1948, in Adrian, MI, the son of Harley & Ellen (Atkin) Brockway. On January 13, 1974, he married Nancy Kay (Leinaar) Brockway, she preceded him in death on October 26, 2011.  Galen was a graduate of Onsted High School. He retired from Adrian Public Schools. Galen also worked at Earl Kelly's farm for over fifteen years and also at WLEN, WABJ and Q-95 radio stations. He served as a reserve officer for the Adrian Police Department and also as a reserve deputy with the Lenawee County Sheriff's Department.  He is survived by his daughter, Dottie (Wayne) Gideon; his grandchildren, Harley, Heaven, Mikey, Celeste, Leona, Brandon, Curtis and John; and life long best friend, Arietta Ridgeway.  In addition to his wife, Nancy Brockway, he was preceded in death by his parents, Harley & Ellen Brockway, and one brother, Lynn Brockway.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date.  Arrangements with Purse Funeral Home in Adrian, MI.  www.PurseFuneralHome.com
