Frank B. Howard

Frank B. Howard, age 94, of Onsted passed away peacefully at home June 14, 2022. Frank was born April 11, 1928 in Rome Township the son of Francis B and Ruth M (Richardson) Howard. On March 14, 1947 in Onsted, MI he married Phyllis J Tyler. She preceded him in death in 1977.Frank graduated from Onsted High School in 1946. He was a life-long farmer, pilot and he enjoyed golfing as well as antique tractors. He was a member of the Onsted Fire Department, the Three Horse Club and the Centennial Farm Association. Along with farming, Frank worked as a purchasing agent at Marben Corpation and later Meijer until he retired. Frank is survived by his beloved, Joyce Howe; daughter, Judy (Norman) Helinski of Ocola, Florida; 3 grandchildren, Derek (Stephanie) Helinski of Onsted, Tyler (DeAnn) Helinski and Amy (Joey) Payne both of Ocala, Florida; 10 great grandchildren, Ryan, Drew, Trey, Lauren, Tayleur, Hadyn, Cole, Rilynn, Reagan and Daxton; 6 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Howard; parents, Francis and Ruth Howard; son, Randall S Howard; brothers Raymond and Dennison Howard; sisters, Marion Pawson, Ruth Nichloy and Shirley Chatfield as well as nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 12:00  P. M.  Tuesday, June 21,  2022 at the J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh, Michigan  with Jack Howard officiating.  Burial will follow in Maple Shade Cemetery, Onsted. Visitation will also take place Tuesday from 10:00 A. M. until the time of service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions, may be made to Onsted Community Schools in memory of Frank.
