Frances Beverly (Brunell) Raymond

Frances Beverly Raymond passed away, June 21, 2021 following a short illness. She was 79 years old. Beverly had three children who are proud to call her Mom, 4 grandchildren that she loved and cherished, and so many friends throughout the country. Beverly was always ready with a smile, a story and laugh, and made time for everyone.   Born in Detroit, MI on June 26, 1941 to the late Frank and Eleanor Brunell, she graduated from Thurston High School and received a Bachelor of Education from the Central Michigan University. Beverly taught high school at her alma mater Thurston High School and at Lincoln High School before embarking on a long career in Corporate Training and Consulting which afforded her the opportunity to indulge her two passions of teaching and travel.  She was a fun, energetic, and supportive Mother and Grandma and always made sure to attend dance recitals, plays, concerts, softball, football, basketball, etc. – no matter what the kids did, she was there to cheer them on! She was also a great shoulder to lean on when times were tough and had a wealth of knowledge to share with anyone that needed it or willing to listen. Anyone meeting her for the first time never felt like a stranger and walked away feeling accepted and appreciated. She will truly be missed by all who knew her and loved her. Beverly was preceded in death by her son Kevin Douglas Scraggs and her parents Frank and Eleanor Brunell. She is survived by her daughter Kristen Diane Scraggs, son Daniel Jacob Raymond, her grandchildren, Cameron Charles Raymond, Kaylee Noelle Raymond, Keegan Daniel Raymond and Alyssa Nicolle Raymond, and her sister Sandra Carter Farnsworth. The family will host a celebration of life memorial gathering on Friday, July 2, 2021 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at J Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 210 W Pottawatamie Street, Tecumseh, MI 49286.
