Evelyn Mae (Zimmerman) Friday

Evelyn Mae Friday, age 88, of Brooklyn, passed away March 9, 2020. Evelyn was born September 28, 1931 in Freeland, Michigan the daughter of John and Helen (Schlier) Zimmerman. On December 15, 1951 she married Donald Friday and he preceded her in death.She was a member of the St. Joseph Shrine Catholic Church and their Altar Society for many years.  She was a loving mother and grandmother. Evelyn is survived by her children, Donald (Sharon) Friday, Kathleen Friday, Gene Friday and Susan Hardt and many grandchildren. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents; son, David; daughter, Patsy and son, Henry. A Mass of the Christian Burial will be 10:30 A. M.  Friday, March 13, 2020 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Irish Hills with Father Bob Pienta as the celebrant.  Burial will follow in Joseph Shrine Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00  PM. Thursday, March 12, 2020 at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh and 9:30 to 10:30 AM preceding the service at the church.
