Eugene "Geno" Vance

Eugene "Geno" Vance, age 86, of Adrian, MI, passed away peacefully, September 1, 2021, in Adrian, MI. He was born April 28, 1935, in Detroit, MI, the son of Merritt & Eleanor (Brandemihl) Vance.  Geno served his country in the U.S. Air Force. In his early years, worked at Selfridge Air Force Base in Mt. Clemens, MI. Geno then went on to work at Willow Run Airport, eventually retiring from Liebherr USA Aerospace in Saline, MI.  He is survived by his wife, Sharon Vance; his children, Gina (Bill) Carland, Lisa (Jerome) Kazmierczak, Ted (Betty) Colussi, Denna Colussi and Tony Colussi; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; Merritt & Eleanor Vance; one son, Todd Colussi; grandson, Jack Boura; and five siblings.  Viewing & Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI. Funeral Services will follow 2:00 PM at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian, MI with Pastor Rick Strawcutter officiating.  Burial will take place 10:30 AM Thursday, September 9, 2021, in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, MI, with Military Honors performed by the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard.  www.PurseFuneralHome.com
