Ethel Charlotte (Rohn) Aebersold

Ethel Charlotte Aebersold, age 94, of Tecumseh,  passed away  Sunday, November 7, 2021 at her granddaughter Tara's (Ross) home in Brooklyn, MI. She was born on March 13, 1927 to Charlotte & Leland Rohn.  She married Charles Aebersold on October 4, 1947 and they celebrated 74 years of marriage this October.  Ethel graduated from Adrian  High School in 1945.  She was a member of Raisin Valley Friends Church in Adrian.  Ethel retired from Lenawee Intermediate School District as a teacher's aide.  She loved gardening, canning, baking dozens of Christmas cookies & baking dozens of loaves of her much loved zucchini bread.  She cherished all of her grandchildren---teaching them how to make her freezer strawberry jam & decorating sugar cookies.  She also made sure they had her tator tot casserole & bowls of jello for dinner once a week. Surviving is her husband "Chuck";  daughter, Cheryl Aebersold; son, Carl (Carol) Aebersold; granddaughters, Tara (Ross) Trumble and Sarah Aebersold; grandson, Kevin Shultis; great grandchildren, Emily, Makala (Reid Couling), Holden, Kym, Paige, Lily and Jack Trumble: great great grandchildren , Bentley & Oaklee Couling and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Melba, Arlene and Donald; daughter, Patricia Shultis & grandson, Scott Shultis. Cremation has taken place & private graveside services will be held at Brookside Cemetery in Tecumseh.  A memorial celebration will be held at a later date. Her family wishes to express their gratitude to the oncology dept. staff at Hickman Hospital & the Hospice of Lenawee for their marvelous care & support she received during this difficult time.  We ask that donations be made to Hospice of Lenawee, 1903 Wolf Creek Hwy., Adrian, MI 49221.
