Esther Sifuentes Navarro Castorena, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at Toledo Hospital. She was born in San Antonio, Texas to Petra Villarreal and Juan Sifuentes on July 16, 1938. She married Adolio Cuellar Navarro Sr. on October 11,1952 and lived on their farm in Blissfield, Michigan for over 25 years. Esther loved her flower garden, collecting roosters and her family. She also loved cooking, dancing, listening to mariachi music, and traveling. She remarried Jose Castorena later on in life. In addition to Jose, her spouse, she is survived by her children Patsy S. (Jack) Metz, Adolio Q. (Linda) Navarro, Steve S. (San Juanita) Navarro, David L. (Kathryn) Navarro, Yvonne (Louis) Jacobo, Rani M (Shawn) Force, and Michael R. Navarro, three siblings Juan Alberto, Rose Marie, and Juanita, 26 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Adolio Cuellar Navarro Sr; a son, Ronald Timothy Navarro; her parents, Petra Villarreal and Juan Sifuentes; her siblings, Jesse, Aurueliano, Alicia, Maria Elena, Francisco and Adela; and one grandson, Marc Daniel Navarro. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, 28, 2023, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI. Burial will follow in Ogden Township Cemetery.
