Ellen Ruth (Gilbert) Rose

Ellen Ruth Rose  It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ellen Ruth (Gilbert) Rose on October 15, 2022, at the age of 76.  She was born April 14, 1946, in Russell County, VA, to Elbert & Erma (Fleming) Gilbert.  On May 9, 1970, she married Earl Rose who preceded her in death.  She is survived by her daughter, Iris (Dan) Church; her beloved grandchildren, Johnny, Andrew (Katie), Sarah and Daniel; a great grandson, Liam; and a cherished sister, Joyce Agner.  Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Wayne, Kenny and Roger; and a special niece, Andrea Andrews.  Ellen's goal in life was to be a good wife and mother.  Not only did she achieve that goal, but she set a precedent that few will ever match.  Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, October 21, 2022, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI.  Viewing & Visitation will held on Thursday, October 20, 2022, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the J.
