Ella May Sliker, born March 4, 1930 at home on the family farm in Dundee, Michigan, passed into the arms of Christ on October 6, 2021 in Perrysburg, Ohio. Her life was a great adventure. After studying for thirteen years at seven different colleges, Ella May graduated from Adrian College in 1960 and completed her graduate work at the University of Toledo. She began her teaching career in 1948 at age eighteen in a one-room country school with all eight grades. She taught for eighteen years in elementary and junior high schools and spent her summer months traveling the world—visiting fifty-one countries on five continents. After caring for her parents until their deaths, Ella May resigned from teaching and accepted God’s call to be a National Representative for Stonecroft, Inc. She traveled throughout the USA for eleven years as a city missionary where she conducted Speaker Seminars, and organized and emceed banquets and conferences. Later, she taught home Bible studies and counseled college and career students for many years. Ella May is survived by one brother, Howard (Sandra) Sliker, of Sylvania, Ohio; one sister, Catherine Beach of Saline, Michigan and a brother-in-law, Bruce Loar. She enjoyed fourteen nieces and nephews, in addition to their children and grandchildren. Ella May was preceded in death by her parents, Alred and Esther (Neuroth) Sliker; two sisters, Alma Loar and Margaret Marion; and three nephews, Michael Marion, Benjamin Sliker, and Glenn Sliker.
