Dorothy Ann (Harp) Kerr

Dorothy Ann Kerr age 79, of Tecumseh, went to be with The Lord March 19, 2022 at home, surrounded by her family. She was born February 21, 1943 in Marked Tree, AR the daughter of Ray and Hazel (Terrrell) Harp. On October 16, 1965, she married Bob Kerr in Detroit, MI. He preceded her in death March 9, 2007. Dorothy was a graduate of Western High School, Detroit, Class of 1961. She loved gardening, flowers, writing poetry, reading, and traveling.  Dorothy was a long time Real Estate  Associate Broker in Lenawee County for over 30 years. She was passionate about real estate and was instrumental in many new construction projects. Dorothy loved meeting new people and finding them their perfect homes. Many of Dorothy's clients became her lifelong friends. She attended Solid Rock Church, Clinton, until her health prevented her. Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Bobbi Kerr of Tecumseh; son Mike Kerr of Tecumseh; granddaughter, Chelsea Henry; sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Bob, she was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, George Brown; sons, Daryl Kerr and Ray Orozco; and brother, Billy Ray Harp.  Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 24, 2022 at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh, with Rev. Tim Richmond officiating.  Interment will follow at Brookside Cemetery.  Visitation will be also be on Thursday, March 24, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be directed to Lenawee County Department on Aging.
