Dora Hernandez

Dora Hernandez, age 84, of Adrian, MI, passed away, February 8, 2022.  She was born April 12, 1937, in Valladares, Coahuila, Mexico, the daughter of Teofilo & Angeles (Tijerina) Menchaca. In 1955, she married Juan Hernandez in Matamoros, Mexico, he preceded her in death on December 1, 1970.  Dora is survived by her children, Norma (Jesus) Hernandez, Juan Alberto Hernandez, Justo (Heather) Hernandez and Daniel Hernandez; her grandchildren, Josh Barnett, Courtney Hoxey, Justin Hernandez, and Maria Hernandez; two great grandchildren, Atlas Stieben and Aspen Stieben; one sister, Carolina Cortez; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband Juan, she was preceded in death by her parents, Teofilo & Angeles Menchaca; and four brothers, Luis, Carlos, Santiago and Homero Menchaca.  Viewing & Visitation will be on Sunday, February 13, 2022, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI. Also please join us at this time for Dora's favorite meal which will will provided by Cancun Mexican Restaurant.
