Donovan A. McCowan

Donovan A. McCowan, age 24, of Adrian, MI, passed away, April 16, 2022, at University of Michigan Hospital. He was born October 30, 1997, in Adrian, MI.  Donovan was a graduate of Madison High School. He previously worked as a frack operator in the oil industry and also worked Hilex in Hudson where he made many friends. Donovan's pride & joy was his daughter, Darcy, whom he was a great father to.  He is survived by his mother, Heather (Mark) Kreighbaum; his father; Eugene McCowan; his fiance, Elizabeth Contois; his daughter, Darcy Kamamak Vivian Contois; four brothers, Michael (Nakisha) McCowan, Daniel McCowan, Cayden McCowan and Ethan McCowan; grandmothers, Nancy (Steve) Webster and Mary McCowan; two great grandmothers, Barb Bussing and Kookum Margie Lathlin; future mother in law, Delores Lathlin; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Harley Bussing Sr.; and great grandmother, Rose Marie Meads.  Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, April 22, 2022, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI, with Rev. Jamie Driskill officiating. Viewing & Visitation will be on Thursday, April 21, 2022, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and also on Friday from 12:00 PM until the time of service at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian, MI.
