Donald Edward Zarembski

Donald Edward Zarembski, age 79, of Swartz Creek, MI, passed away July 24, 2023, at Hurley Medical Center, Flint, MI. He was born November 16, 1943, in Detroit, MI, the son of Joseph & Agnes (Sheko) Zarembski.  Donald served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.  He retired from Ford Motor Company.    Donald is survived by his children, Melissa Zarembski and Donald Zarembski; two grandchildren, Balin & Ara Zarembski; his sister, Shirley McCoy; and several nieces & nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph & Agnes Zarembski, his twin sister, Dorothy McArthur; and brother, Robert "Bob" Zarembski.  A Funeral Mass will be held 12:00 PM Saturday, July 29, 2023, at St. Joseph Shrine Catholic Church, 8743 US-12, Brooklyn, MI, with Fr. Carl Simon presiding. A Rite of Committal will follow in St. Joseph Shrine Cemetery with Military Honors performed by the Onsted American Legion Honor Guard. Donald will lie in state at the church on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of the Funeral Mass. Arrangements are under the direction of J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N.
