Dianna Burgher Obituary

Dianna Lynn Burgher, 74, of Stockbridge, Michigan, died at Chelsea Hospital on June 13, 2022 from congestive heart failure. She was  born January 4, 1948, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the first-born daughter of Russell and Shirley (Snider) Armstrong, who preceded her in death. On June 18, 1971, she was united in marriage to Dale Edward Burgher, who survives. Dianna was a graduate of Ann Arbor High School and received her Culinary Degree from Washtenaw Community College. She was a homemaker that loved to bake and cook meals for her family. She enjoyed anything to do with art; ceramics, painting, and sewing were among her favorite pastimes, and she shared that love with her family through hosting ornament making parties for the kids and having a surplus of supplies to keep them occupied anytime of the year. When she wasn’t cooking, baking, or crafting she liked to travel and spent many years working at the National Parks all over the United States. She cherished her family above all else and she will be greatly missed. Beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend, her survivors include her children: Teresa (Steve) Diakow of Brighton, Michigan, Randy (Shalon) Burgher of Fenton, Michigan, Christine (Mitchell Lee) Fedruk of Boulder City, Nevada, and Jason (Andrea) Burgher of Chelsea, Michigan. Grandchildren: Nick (partner Mint Ting Zhou) Diakow and Alexander Diakow, Joshua Burgher, Sirena and Lorelei Burgher, Shianne and Catara Howard, Rebecca Schauer, Devon Ficarro, Blake Marchi and Shelby (Harry) Smith. Six great-grandchildren: Owen, Kayanna, Katheryn, Kilee, Brystol, and Brayden. Her siblings: Richard (Janet) Armstrong, South Lyon, Michigan, Patrice Steinaway, Abbeville, South Carolina, Doug Armstrong, Ann Arbor, Michigan, Gary (Dorothy) Burgher, Ogden, Utah, Ronald (Connie) Burgher, San Diego, California, Sally Burgher, Maryville, Missouri, several nieces and nephews and her cherished puppy Drago. Dianna was preceded in death by her brother Michael Armstrong (2015) and, her brother-in- law’s Llyod Burgher (2004) and Richard Steinaway (2022). A memorial service is planned for August 2022. More details to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
