Dennis Pfotenhauer Obituary

Dennis Fann Pfotenhauer, Age 81, of Tipton (Evans Lake), MI, passed away July 17, 2022, at home with his family. He was born April 25, 1941 in McAllen, TX, the son of A.P. (Buddy) & Marcella (Fann) Pfothenhauer.

He was a graduate of Allen Military Academy, Class of 1959. On February 8, 1969, he married Sally Rose Benney in Ypsilanti, MI. Dennis was retired from Milan Federal Prison after 25 years of service and was a baker by trade. He loved his family, life on the lake, pontoon rides and a nice cold beer.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sally (Benney) Pfotenhauer; his parents Buddy and Marcella Pfotenhauer and brother, Phil Pfotenhauer. He is survived by his loving children, Dennis II (Kim) Pfotenhauer, Rhonda (Bob) Zimmerman, Kendal Pfotenhauer and Deedee (Tim) Baker; grandchildren, Colleen (Aaron) Carpenter, Cullen (Ashley) Zimmerman, Kelcey (Kyle) Baker, T.J. (Elizabeth) Baker, Savannah (Sage) Pfotenhauer and Denny III (Allison) Pfotenhauer; several nieces, nephews, 5 great grandchildren, and sister Yvonne Hudson of Crestview, FL.

The family will be holding a celebration of life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Lenawee or the Evans Lake Land Owners Association - Fish Fund & Firework Display.
