Cynthia Elizardo Powell

Cynthia Elizardo Powell was born in Adrian Michigan to Arthur and Shirley Elizardo on February 6th 1963 in Adrian Michigan at Bixby Hospital.  Cynthia grew up in Adrian and remained in the Adrian area most of her life.  She attended school at Madison elementary and Highschool from which she graduated in 1981. Cynthia was employed as a housekeeper and was self-employed.   Some of her favorite pastimes included camping, gardening, and thoroughly enjoyed rummage-saling.  She also truly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren whom she dearly loved. Cynthia was diagnosed with lung cancer in April of 2021, and underwent chemo/radiation treatment for a brief period of time.  It was not an effective medical intervention, and she succumbed to cancer on August 11, 2021.  Cynthia was surrounded by Fred Flores (her dear special friend) and a host of family members, when she passed this life. She was preceded in death by Arthur and Shirley Elizardo (Father and Mother) Theral (Skip) Heldt, (step dad), Toni Elizardo (sister), Isaiah and Mason, (grandchildren). Cynthia is survived by Linda Sue Elizardo (step-mother), Gordon Powell Jr. and Toni (son and girlfriend), Casandra Powell (daughter), Amanda Powell (step-daughter), Tracy Newsom (brother), Jimmy and Rebecca Greenman (brother and wife), Arthur (Jay) and Julie Elizardo (brother and wife), Carl and Mary Elizardo (brother and wife), Tina and Mark Lozano (sister and husband), Lisa and Lonnie Pate (sister and husband), Sheri and Douglas Lavigne (sister and husband), Terrie Belcher (sister), and a host of grandchildren and family and friends.  She will be sorely missed by all who knew her. Per Cynthia’s personal request, no funeral services were to be held, she was cremated according to her wishes, which has occurred prior to date.
