It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Cynthia Ann MacMillan, who was reunited with her loved ones in Heaven on May 14th, 2026 at the age of 74.  Cindy was born in Detroit, Michigan on August 29th, 1951 to Mesroh and Julia Maye (née Dodd) Kochoian.  She moved with her family as a young girl to Windsor, Canada and spent most of her teen years taking care of family members.  Cindy returned to Michigan as a young woman and went to a beautician school.  She become a well respected hairdresser around the metro Detroit communities.  Cindy met James MacMillan after he returned from Vietnam and they soon married on March 7th 1970.  They raised two children, Michelle L. Barbosa and Gregory B. MacMillan.   Cindy led a successful life as a great caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, and friend of many.  Cindy really enjoyed going on cruises and family trips to see her extended family in Oklahoma.  She always dressed well and loved her many sets of jewelry.  She also loved watching her family grow, having family gettogethers, taking care of others, watching her doctor-centric TV drama shows, reading, and spending time with family and friends.  Cindy had many friends through life and mostly treasured her lifelong friendship even to the end with her bestie since elementary school, "Aunt" Dar.  Cindy will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.  She is survived by her daughter Michelle, three grandchildren, Megan (Blake) Page, Alexus Barbosa, Armin MacMillan, two great-grandchildren Cecillia and Maverick, sisters-in-law Deborah Oso, Rebecca (John) Mackert, brother-in-law Timothy MacMillan, and several cousins, nephews and nieces.  Cindy is joining in Heaven her husband Jim, parents, her son Gregory, grandchild Kayla, and many cousins.  A celebration of life for Cindy and Jim will be held at a private location.  Private invitations will be sent.  Arrangements with Purse Funeral Home. www.PurseFuneralHome.com
