Cherrie A. Mirelez

Cherrie A. Mirelez, age 71, of Adrian, MI, passed away, May 27, 2023, at home surrounded by her family. She was born August 23, 1951, in Tecumseh, MI, the daughter of Arnold & Eula (Meads) Ries. On April 2, 2000, she married Fidencio Mirelez, he survives.  Cherrie was retired from General Motors after 30 years of service. She was a proud member of the UAW.  In addition to her husband Fidencio, she is survived by her daughter, Kellie (Heath) Shaffer; step children, Nicholas (Jessica) Mirelez and Alex Mirelez; two grandsons, Joshua Turske and Nicholas Turske and step granddaughter, Charlotte Mirelez; her siblings, April (Tony) Galvan and Mark Ries; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold Ries & Eula Woods; and two brothers, Rod Ries and Brad Ries.  Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, June 3, 2023, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI, with Pastor Doug Leith officiating. Viewing & Visitation will be on Friday June 2, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at J.
