Chen Li, age 87, of Morenci, passed away on June 14, 2022 at the Fulton County Health Center, Ohio. She was born December 21, 1934 in Fujian China, the daughter of Xueming Li & Bieul Wang. She was single, never married, and had no children. She was preceded in death by her parents. Chen Li came to the US in the early 1980s as an Exchange Scholar, giving lectures on Chinese architecture at the University of Michigan School of Arts & Architecture. She was badly injured in a car accident in Ann Arbor in the early 80s. She taught Chinese calligraphy at Washtenaw Community College and worked at the Undergraduate Library of the University of Michigan. When she became ill in 2015, she moved from Glacier Hills Nursing Home to Citizens for Quality Care Morenci Home on Baker Street. She was well taken care of until her last day. Friends appreciated CQC Morenci Home staff care and residents' friendships. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, CQC, or Michigan Taiwanese American Organization.
