Charles Henry McIntyre, Sr.

Charles Henry McIntyre, Sr., age 73, of Clinton, MI, passed away, July 5, 2022, at the Saline Evangelical Home. He was born July 16, 1948, in Adrian, MI, the son of Howard & Marie (Holtz) McIntyre. On August 23, 1975, he married Jeannine Stites, she survives.  Charles was retired from the Lenawee County Road Commission, where he worked for over 40 years. He loved spending time with his family, especially fishing with his grandchildren. Charles was known for his many jokes and humor. His favorite line was "Ladies, get back in line, there is plenty of me to go around"  In addition to his wife, Jeannine McIntyre, he is survived by his children, Jennifer Rose Cardenas and Charles Jr. (Heather) McIntyre; four grandchildren, Marcus Henry McIntyre-Cardenas, Ashton Marie Cardenas, Emily Rose McIntyre and Lillian Marie McIntyre; one brother, Michael (Roxanne) McIntyre; and many nieces & nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard & Marie McIntyre; and four siblings, David McIntyre, Judy LaFountain, Bob McIntyre and Barbara McIntrye.  A Memorial Gathering will be held on Sunday July 10, 2022, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI. Burial of cremains will follow in Raisin Presbyterian Cemetery. www.PurseFuneralHome.com
