Carol "Monna" Ashley

Carol  "Monna"  Ashley, 71, of Ridgeway Twp., MI, passed away, April 4, 2021, at home with her family.    She was born May 4, 1949, in Monroe, MI, the daughter of Carl & Mildred (Bolster) Spaulding.    On June 15, 1968, she married Tom Ashley, the love of her life.  "Monna" was best known for her confetti cards. She loved to make Memory Bears. "Monna" loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and lived for them.  She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Tom Ashley; two daughters, Dawn (David) Siler and Tina (Daniel) Henderson; her grandchildren, Nicole (Brandon) Trouten, Emily (Jeremy) Hatfield, Bret (Kellen) Taylor, Beth Holden and Samantha Holden, Katherine Siler, Ashley Siler, Sara Siler and Aaron Henderson; great grandchildren, Logan, Aiden, Kaden, Addison, Cora, Sophia, Harper and Hudson; her siblings, Lila (Bill) Butts, Ernie (Sue) Spaulding, Tommy (Sheryl) Spaulding, Barbara Armstrong, Brenda Spaulding, Carl Spaulding, Ricky Spaulding and Richard (Amy) Spaulding and several nieces & nephews.  She was preceded in death by parents, Carl & Mildred Spaulding, one brother, James Spaulding, sister, Sharon Taylor and grandson, Harley Henderson.  Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI with Minister Daniel Henderson. (WATCH LIVE LINK) Burial will follow in Ridgeway Cemetery.
