Bruce "Moose" Handy

Bruce "Moose" Handy, age 69, of Tecumseh, passed away May 12, 2021 at Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home, Jackson.  He was born April 16, 1952, in Tecumseh, MI, the son of Donald and Margaret (Casterline) Handy. On May 23, 1975 he married Elli Penney. She preceded him in death on November 3, 2020. Bruce was a graduate of Clinton High School, Class of 1970. He was retired from Ford Motor Company, Saline Plant, with over 30 years of service. Bruce was a member of Tecumseh Jaycees and Lenawee County Conservation League. He loved to fish, hunt, and go to casinos, with his wife Ellie. Bruce is survived by his children, Doug (Amy) Handy, Amy Parker, Steven (Tricia) Penney, Michael Penney, Dawn (Michael) D’Amico (nee Penney), and Tina Arter (nee Penney); grandchildren, David, Jackson and Trey Penney, Madison and Hunter Penney, Casey and Tayler Arter, Michael D’Amico, Travis, Kailyn and Gavin Parker, Skylar, Samantha and Hayden Handy; great grandchildren, Elias Arter, Xavier Mohon, Colton Parker, and Adeline Parker; brothers Kevin and Gary, and sister, Patty; and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.In addition to his wife Elli, he was preceded in death by parents. Family and friends are invited to Bruce's memorial service, officiated by Reverend Eric Hickman, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 210 W. Pottawatamie St. Tecumseh, MI 49286, on Saturday, May 22, 2021, with visitation from 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. and a funeral service at 2:30 p.m.  Donation in memory of Bruce may be made to Henry Ford Health System. https://www.henryford.com/development/make-a-gift
